Was just wundering if your machine is loud when you embroidery cuz mine has this thud sound as the needle holder comes up and strikes the arm on the embroidery foot, it looks like is is suppose to strike the foot arm but it just makes alot of noise, It's like the machine is so fast the foot is slamming back down..Now this may be normal but we just got this machine for christmas and would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same noise and hate to send it in for repairs if we are doing something wrong....Also there is a foot labled Q+ that came with it and it sounds alot better using it rather than the Q foot.... Thanks for your time....

If you aren't using the feed dog cover, that makes a big (huge) difference, but it's not quiet to start with. You should have heard the 2001 before the second software upgrade. Now THAT was loud.

I cannot detect any difference in the latest software upgrade as far as sound level goes. The note says it may quieten the machine down but I have noticed nothing.
Anybody else?
