Happy Chanukah!

To any of you who celebrate it.

To any of you who like candles.

To any of you who like pancakes.

In fact, to any of you who need an excuse to party this weekend.

Thanks - got home - lit candles. Going to have potato latkes on Sunday. Yeah. Keep singing "oh chanukah" - don't know why. Going to put the LeeVees on - more fun.

Yesterday - heard the Klexmatics on NPR - Kojo's show. They did a CD with a bunch of Woodie Guthrie songs. His daughter, Nora was interviewed. For any Woody Guthrie fans - I'd really recommend listening to the interview if you can get it off the NPR web site. It was really interesting about her childhood, Woodie being like one of the kids, and them being raised by his mother - the "bubbie" and Woodie & his wife telling the children their religion was "everything and nothing" - "all or none" and how that is on some of their birth certificates.

I meant don't know why that particular song over and over as I rambled around the house. Rather than interspersing with other songs. I know "why" it came to mind and heart. Just not usual for me to keep on singing any song multiple times...

Hope the travel and exhibition go well - and that the boys get returned.

Ellice , Hag Smaeach if you sing the song and don`t know why , it is a pity . Yester eve we lit our first candle. Tonight we will travel to Nahariya , and take part in opening a demonstartive Photography exhibition, and light the 2nd candle, with the families of the 3 kidnapped boys , 2 by the Hizbulla , and 1 by the Hammas. We are calling for their returning home . HAG Hanuka , is after all a celebrity of freedom . mirjam

Thank you for the explanation , Ellice . Yestereve as we lit the 2nd candle in the opening of the exhibition for the Kidnapped boys , You should have seen how over 200 people sang out of the depth of our hearts ALL HA NISSIM VeHA NIFLA`OT [on the miracles and wonders] The mother of Udi Goldwasser said that a miracle would be , even `only` getting a sign of life from the boys. I must admit i am not well acknowledged to the English version of Hanuka Songs , i know them in Hebrew and some in Yiddish ...

Travel was easy , we are close to Nahariya ... It is The BOYS we want back home ,, Thank you ,,,, we need all the wishes we can
