HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Don't overdose on either turkey or football.

Please feel free to overdose on stitching.

Football - not a problem, but I'll bet DD makes major brownie points with her cousins while watching the game with them. Turkey - only on stuffing and skin...

I will bring knitting with me today. I think I can get lots done...

Whatever makes you thankful. :)

Since it's just the two of us, and he hates turkey, we went out to eat. A local restaurant had a Thanksgiving special: one slice of turkey in turkey gravy and one slice of ham in orange sauce.

After the bowl of potato-bacon soup with a slice of still-steaming bread, and the dinner special, I couldn't even think of ordering dessert. So now I have to go into my own kitchen and figure out what I have that could pass for dessert.

I did buy a small chunk of Louis Rich cooked turkey and a jar of gravy just so I have some "leftovers" for the weekend. Probably get one dinner and two sandwiches out of the piece I bought.

My friend in Hawaii called to say she'd been invited to a friend's traditional Hawaiian pig roast, no turkey. She rather liked my idea of buying a small piece of turkey for herself for the next few days.
