Take all the time you need. I have 4 days off, work for 5 and then head to jury duty....

Speaking of which, has anyone heard from Pat in Norfolk? My dd is near there and they had 6 or 8 inches of snow last week, with more coming down.

Close enough. DD used to be on the Norfolk-Suffolk border, but is now in Ely, Cambridgeshire. The whole region got slammed with extra-heavy snowfalls, roads and schools closed, trains stuck, even a lot of shops closed. The dgc loved it, and sil is a Massachusetts boy, so it didn't bother him one bit, but apparently the old folks had a tough time, which is why I was wondering about Pat.
