I'm stuck on letter I for the baby dragon alphabet. So, I'm making great progress toward finishing Cheryl's Bouquet. I've told myself when I finish with the "bottom right" page, it's back to the alphabet.
Still working on finishing DM's pillow top. I did get all the flowers done, even the *&#^* buttonhole stitches on lazy daisies. Just have the background to finish. Then I'll probably start the eyeglass case that I'm taking on vacation. Also found a Dimensions kit of Xmas ornaments in my stash that I might take along as well. That is, if I don't find something else before then.
The Mirror, Mirror sampler that is a gift. I need it framed and ready to mail around September 15th.

friend has let me borrow her System 4 Needlework stand and herLowery stand so I can evaluate and see which one I like better. SoI've been moving through several projects trying out different scrollframes, etc. I'm thinking the System 4 works for me, but I'm notfinished playing yet. Donna in Virginia

I'm working on a little 5" x 7" Janlynn kit called Dogs Rule. It's a little simple project and will probably be a gift for a friend, but it is cute and looks a little like my little dog so it just might stay here instead.
I finished Amethyst Dreams and wanted something that isn't quite as taxing to my feeble brain.
Waiting impatiently for me to pick them up are several kitted up projects and when this one is finished I will decide what's next.
I replied to Cheryl individually instead of the group. (Sorry Cheryl.) Here is my response: You asked: What are you stitching?
One of my more ambitious projects: Scarlet Quince's large reproduction of Van Gogh's "Starry Night". Figure it will take a little over 2 years doing about 1-2 hours a day. It is truly beautiful. With 83 color blends, it was beginning to drive me crazy until I got 2 of those Pako Needle Organizers so that I can keep each needle threaded and ready for use. It is so much easier that way. (I had tried the method of stitching and then "dangling" the needle and picking up another color, but got all tangled up.) And of course good lighting -- I use an old Dazor floor lamp that has a rectangular magnifier lens, with an Ott Lite bulb. I've been "testing" thimbles but so far have rejected the metal ones, even the open one which is too bulky for me. The little leather finger pads are okay but I'm still not happy with the bulk of them. I had thought that I ordered the leather thimble from a website, but never got confirmation and haven't received it so will probably just not order it (again?). Beginning to think a band-aid is the best thimble. I am also using the medium sized Q-Snaps, size 28 needles, and 18 count gray-ish Aida with 2 strands of DMC over 2, which is covering the cloth perfectly. I think somewhere along the way I'll take a break and do some simple, small projects like ornaments for the holidays. I don't like to do 2 different things at a time, but this project does call for taking a break!
I'm currently stitching The Name of God by My Big Toe Designs for my niece. She has graduated from college and asked me to stitch something for her apartment. I sent her a bunch of choices via links and this is what she chose. It will probably take me 6 months to complete. I have done the border across the top and about 1/3 of the way down on both sides. That got way too boring so now I've stitched the first 2 rows of names (if that makes sense). I'm using 2 shades of Waterlilies (purple and green) and it's looking good and is a relaxing stitch.
It's really not a difficult piece; there's just a lot of it! I don't have children of my own and I love to do things for this niece. She's a very sweet and loving girl; and she asked, which is nice. I don't make many pieces for others any more (since my fire because I need to fill up my own walls) but was touched that she wanted me to make her a picture. I think I'm going to hit up my brother to pay for at least half of the framing.
Finishing up original thing needlebook, and my last stitch sample for submittal. Means very careful stitching ...but then it'll be some more fun. But first prework for my "4 Stars" class:

I believe that the other stitchers have pictures, and I'm supposed to get them to send to Laura as well. I'll try to do it soon. Not to mention my own.

is gorgeous ! So, although I haven't quite finished the 'Mighty Samurai', and still have three 'Heaven and Earth' kits (slightly fondled) not started, I've sent for the chart........ sigh.
