Ok - what is the wildest variegated floss/fiber you know of

I'm loving the piece I'm doing in the DMC Variations dark greens, but I'm tempted to try in working from the center out in something wild and bright. Hot would be good too.

So - bring them on folks. I'm going to lean toward 6 strand cottons as I'm well in to my 4th skein of floss and will order twice as much as I think I need for yardage.

I think you should look at Threadworx -

can get 20 yards skeins... Donna in Virginia

Hmm- that mean I'd only have to buy two. Now which color, so far I like Chili Peppers and Brady's Balloons

Do you know any sources for the big skeins?

Cheryl

Warpaint and Indian Tapestry are nice too. . . .

Watercolors - about weight of 5 Perle, Trio, Dyed ribbon from YLI, GAST, Weeks, Also there is Wildflowers, or impressions, Silk'n Ivory, Gloriana overdyed perle in 5,8,12, Gumnuts makes several weights of overdyed type threads (Buds, Stars, Jewels), soy Lustre which is between an 8 & 12, Vineyard Silk has some lines that are overdyed (Trio), ... The list goes on and on....

Also - try Pebbly Perle, Overture, Bravo from Rainbow Gallery.

Ellice who has no time right now but was just checking in....

Darn - I can tell how quickly I read this - thought it side "Widest" not Wildest. Definitely go to Threadworx - their stuff is lovely to stitch with and some really brilliant combinations, plus the 20 yrd skeins are a deal... They also have stunning overdyed metallics (to which I am addicted).

Now I'm out 'cause I sounded like an idjit afore.....

I thought you may have missed read that ....

I will not go look at the metallics, I will not go look at the metallics....

Bradley's Balloons is available in #4 braid metallic. Not that I'm enabling or anything (rdh)

I have to admit, I'd like to fondle it a bit.....
