Joan and Mary Monica

Just spotted Joan's pics on rctnp of the book signing with Mary Monica

- that must have been quite the day. MM is pretty much the way I thought she would look.

Just went looking - fabulous pix, Joan. Mary Monica - that hat is absolutely awesome! Looks like you all had a good time - and the rest of us can be jealous - but in a good way.

ask to rejoin is probably the most simple way.

Thanks for posting this, Sheena. I've been so busy with my dad (he got out of the rehab hospital today! Yay!) I just hadn't had time to post. Am just catching up on the group today.

We had a really nice time. MM wasn't as outgoing as I thought she'd be (or she may have just been very tired...the train gets into Fargo in the wee hours), but she's a very nice lady. We had a wonderful dinner at Applebee's (probably the best food I've ever had there), which is just across the street from NN. She and Tanya were talking about their train trip (they're going all the way to Salt Lake City then flying back to Minneapolis) and about her experience with a crow.

Part of the story line in Thai die had to do with Betsy taking in an injured crow. This was something that actually happened to MM! Things like this always make a story more interesting to me.

There weren't a *lot* of people there for the signing, so was glad I had brought my entire collection (minus Crewel World...just couldn't find it *anywhere*) for her to sign.

Arliss, Lynn & I wandered around the shop for quite awhile (although A&L had made their purchases earlier) and I did buy some WDW for the new pattern I got a couple weeks ago (My day complete

I double checked on this and it was Watercolours I got...Tanzanite and Elderberry wine.

I'll put your name on a post-it and send it to you when I'm done with it. If you don't mind waiting for what may be a looong time! Although I really would like to do this one fairly soon.

I had forgotten that I picked up another new pattern, too.

I'll eliminate the flower (been through the 70s oncealready!). I just like the saying!> So glad you had a good time and someday, I'm going to get to meet Monica > Mary and YOU! Ah, yes, that ever-elusive "someday". I hope that happens too!!!!

..And weren't they FUN???

Are you going to use those colors? The "Live" hardly shows up with the fabric they stitched it on. I'd change either the background fabric or the "Live" -- if not *both*.

Eh. I wasn't a "wild child". lol

No. I'll change both the colors and the fabric. For the most part, I really dislike the "natural" shades. I'll either use white, antique white or some colored fabric. Hm. It would even look good on black! I thought the "Live" was a poor choice of colors, too. Especially on that fabric.
