kick pleat in skirt

Aug 26, 2005 1 Replies

as anyone got the instructions of how to make a kick pleat in the back of a skirt.

I usually do it while I am cutting out the skirt. I cut the seam which will have the pleat two inches wider than the seam allowance, stop the seam a few inches above the hem, then stitch across the top of the pleat and press it in place.

For more precise instructions, why not go to your local public library and look in the various sewing books they will have on their shelves.
