Sorry to hear this, Liz! I know *exactly* what you mean. My DBIL was taken from us very unexpectedly and way too early (failed attempt at putting a stent in). He was everyone's favorite BIL, too.

Thanks to all for your good thoughts/prayers. There are new treatments being tried in the past few years but, since both older sisters are RNs and neither one is very optimistic, I'm not counting on him being a 'long termer'. On the other hand, HE is the one that has it and he tends to be a more optimistic person so who knows? I'm not writing him off yet. :-) I also left off the middle of the word. It is a glioblastoma.

The daughter of a very close friend of mine is an over 9 year survivor of a glioblastoma. She had what was then experimental treatment at Duke University. They do miracles there.

Alisha fought a very long, very tough fight, but she's here and watching her kids grow up, so it was all worth it for her.
