Don't use small embroidery scissors to pry open Q-snaps....

((((HUGS))))

Poor, Jere. I'm envisioning several things that could have happened in the situation you describe - none of them pleasant. (Not that they would have stopped me from trying the above, mind you.)

Hope it gets better.

So - do you need a new pair of Q-Snaps, a new pair of scissors or are there stitches in your fingers....

Cheryl

I need a new pair of scissors -- I see a stop at Hobby Lobby in my future. At least nothing else was damaged....

Which suffered - scissors, Qsnaps, or both? (That`s the kind of thing I do!)

I wonder why the blues in particular - that`s what John noticed when he had his first eye done. Don`t forget that when you have the second eye done the difference won`t seem so dramatic as you`ll already have a first class eye to compare it with. They warned John about that.

I'm delighted that your cataract surgery went so well. When you lose the yellow cast from the cataract, the whole world looks brighter.

I'll try to remember your hint about not using scissors on q-snaps. Is it still ok to use the scissors as pliers?

Lucille

I broke the tips off the scissors, and a chunk of the q-snap joint was raised, so I sanded that down with a nail file. I'm just lucky that tip from the scissors didn't fly somewhere destructive.

What was I thinking?

The doc said I won't need the second eye done for 6-7 years. No idea why this one got so bad so quickly.

Well, I wouldn't advise using scissors as pliers -- unless, of course, they're sturdier than my small, curved tip scissors.

O7Bof.866$ snipped-for-privacy@tornado.texas.rr.com,

Same as many of us, I expect - "Now where`s that darned screw driver - and why get up to look for it when these scissors are right here and so handy!"
