Light Switches

I am looking under every stone for some clear light switch plates I'd heard of. You can stitch your design in the shape and size of the switch plate, then cover it with this clear resin cover. But I can't find the plates ANYWHERE. Anybody else hear of these or know where I might find some? Much appreciated!

I want to say Herrschners had them - I think I've seen them in AC Moore too. Have you checked the hardware stores?

Do you mean the square flat ones that surround the actual switch to prevent marking the wall? We bought some quite easily a couple of years ago - I couls try to find them again for you, if you like.

I have bought some in paint and hardware stores, then lined them with wallpaper to match the rest of the wall. (Caution, you might have guests complaining they can't find the switch when you do this.)

We got some at Lowe's, which is a home improvement store -- I think it must be what you are describing. We put contact paper behind the cover matching the paper my daughter had put on her kitchen shelves, but I suspect you could put fabric in it just as well.

They're a third the price if you buy them at the home improvement store versus at the craft store. Just go to the lighting department and ask them to point. :)

Thank you everyone, I found my light switch plates. :)) What a pitty. Now I have to design some Celtic knots to put under these plates. LOL
