Little Happy Dance

Last week I finished two of these, just in time for Easter. When I started it, I wanted it for myself, and also had a friend in mind, and couldn't decide. So I just made two identical ones!

finished them similarly to the model - as a hanging pocket - but I only put cording around sides and arching over top for hanger, finishing cording in tassels at the lower edges. sue

As usual, it's beautifully done.

Do you do your cording the old fashioned way by twisting it yourself, or do you use a gizmo? Or even better, is there a place to purchase pre-made thin cording?

It's always looks so perfect.

Very nice, Sue. They're so cute. You do just keep on finishing, don't you!!!!

Wait - that photo wasn't mine, that was the model! I haven't scanned mine in yet.

I do my cording with a little gizmo. Looks like the Spinster Mini-Twister here:

was half that price when I bought it!) You can purchase pre-made cording at JoAnn fabrics - thinner in the notions department, by the ribbons, and thicker ones in the upholstery dept. Colors are limited, though, so twisting your own gives you endless choices. I usually like to twist multiple shades into cords for texture, combining close colors like 814/815, 501/501/502, etc.
