My friend is looking to join/communicate with a needlepoint group in Alberta. She is older, does not use the internet and moved here from Wales last year. I am trying to help her. Is there anyone to point me in the right direction please? I have called the craft stores in the area and they have no help to offer at this time.

Which part of Alberta is she in?
You could also try the American Needlepoint guild, they could put you in touch with Canadian groups. I'm sure that we've had international, so to speak, members at ANG seminar. IIRC, someone from BC (Vancouver or Victoria?) that was on this group went to ANG seminar a couple of years ago.
