These are the same settings I have been using on this computer since I switched to Netscape.
It's the business card attachment.

Jenn brilliantly suggested that the problem was that somehow a VCF file was being attached, which would cause some newsreaders to interpret it as a HTML posting (but not mine). Lo and behold, the box for Attach V Card was checked on this computer (not on the other one)
