Needlepoint cat is installed!!

'Member the cat I got the ink on the white background last August and had to tie a bow on his tail? It's finally done and appliqued onto a throw pillow. Whew. Absolutely no pending projects now. I even put away a lot of materials, labeled the seethru boxes so I know what's where.....I love it. It's nice to see the bottom of my little work table once again.

I have one old pattern I may do again for myself - it's a lone magnolia with a couple of leaves. I have enuf stash to do it, I believe.

I think I'll also go to the next local craft show and give away ALL my floss. It was passed onto me and I doubt I'll need it. I will keep all my tapestry wool tho.

I visited a woman NYE and I swear she has about 6 projects going. She was going to rip out a perfectly good looking afghan about half done - no idea why. She also crocheted a sweater coat and it came out too big, so someone got it as a gift. She also bought on sale a lovely stocking kit for next year - partridge in pear tree - lots of sequins etc - done in felt. This year she made the advent calendar in felt - must've taken her hundreds of hours, but looked nice on her mirrored wall.

Good to hear. It is always nice when a fix works.

I originally intended the cat to be a stuffed 'sculpture' to sit on the back of the couch, but it turned out kinda small and would look ridiculous trying to sit there on his own. Laury W got the remains of the first cat sculpture attempt - years ago I got to hate it and mailed it to her. I think she turned it into a small round picture - I can't really recall. I think she mentioned it here a while back.
