Hi Guys, Well, I am about to go downstairs and get to work on the last part of the ()*(&&^%$%&* Peter Rabbit birth sampler for my grandnephew Johan. This thing has been a nightmare for MOI and has taken me at least a year to finish! It's done on 28 ct. chambray blue even weave -- IAYP. I don't like blue and I especially DO NOT like this blue so I have not enjoyed working on this fabric. It's almost as bad as working on black for MOI and I don't know why. I usually end up taking my glasses off and getting my nose right up close to the fabric so that I can stitch more easily. I have plenty light and plenty magnification, I just can't seem to get my eyes around to being able to see this fabric! Anyway, I have persisted and my stubbornness has prevailed. I sam on the last little heart motif in the lower right hand corner. It has some flowers around it and the baby's weight inside. Then there is a bit of backstitch border to finish asnd the backstitching and I'll be finished :-)))). since I thoroughly enjoy doing the backstitching, I will at least be happy working on the very last bit of this project. To make matters worse, I had this thing set up on my Grip-It and put into a big plastic bag and it was sitting behind my recliner. Some little naughty boy kitten (I won't mention any Cheeto Cat names!) got inside the bag and decided to make a snack of this piece!!! When I got it out and was looking it over to see where I needed to start, I found a HOLE in the piece -- just the size of kitty teeth! I took some threads from the edge of the fabric to make the repair and it is only noticeable if you know where to look. It's only about 2 threads outside the stitching so hopefully it will really disappear once I get the piece washed and made into a wall hanging. My DNiece (Kelsey), Johan's mom, is not the best housekeeper, etc. If I had the piece framed, I can guarantee it would end up broken. Hopefully, making a wall hanging will result in it's actually staying in once piece -- LOLOL! When it gets dirty (as I am sure it will) my DSis will take it home and wash it. So -- time to shut down the computer and get back to the stitching salt mines. Hopefully, next time I am on the 'puter, I will be able to tell you the birth sampler is finished -- and BEFORE the little guy's third b-day -- LOLOL! CiaoMeow >^;;^<
