Northern California needlecrafters?

Hello,

I discovered this group reading Monica Ferris' mystery novels. My juices are stimulated to get back into needlework. I particularly enjoy bargello, embroidery, cross-stitch, and crochet. I live in the East San Francisco Bay area of Northern California. Do any of you live in this area, and/or know of resources (stores, classes, teachers) that are available?

Thanks, Kate

Speaking of Monica Ferris, what is the status with Mary Monica's new book(s)?. The last one I read was when Goddy's lover died. I thought I remember another due to come out either late last year or this year. I haven't seen Mary post here for ages, so wondered if you guys knew what was up??

The last time I remember Mary posting, she really got razzed from any number of persons who resented her "advertising" her wares under the guise of getting information for her books. It was terrible how she was treated. It's no wonder to me why we haven't heard from her in ages.

Welll, according to Amazon Sins and Needles is due out the end of June. I'll be eagerly awaiting it! Cheryl

That is a shame!! I enjoyed her posts, and they weren't ALL about her books. I felt as if I had part ownership of the "Crewel World" thanks to MM. When we were in Minnesota last fall we were SO close to Excelsior and Lake Minnetonka, but didn't have the time to run over there. Another year maybe!

Anytime! I understand there is another cross stitching mystery solver out there, but I haven't yet found one of the books on interlibrary loan, so I haven't said much!
