Today, I was running errands and among them was to stop and talk to the owner of the "tea room" where my Brownie troop will have it's last meeting of the school year. On the way in, I admired the handiwork of several ladies who were reworking the front garden.
On the way out, one of them asked if I had a digital camera and would I take their picture. Yes, I have a camera phone. Sure, why not. Of course we start talking gardening. And some how invited to join the Salem Garden Club and open my garden to them for tours....
Finally I make it back to my car, having also discussed gardening, Girl Scouts, daylilies and the tea room and having excused myself to finish my errands (this was #3 on a list of about 15). The woman parked next to me, has the Salem Garden Club sticker in her window, I (heart) Cross Stitching on her bumper and her plate is "LV2BEAD". Boy, am I glad we didn't get on to those subjects! I still be standing there and the errands wouldn't be done!
