Donna's post got me wondering - how many stitches are shared across different "thread" uses.



I know from when my Dad tied flies some of the finished results remind me of needle lace and edging stitches even though he used very stiff threads and pliers.

Also a close relationship between knots that sailors used and the macrame craze back in the 70s.

Hadn't thought that far. BTW - it's back in style for jewelry.

I've heard that before. A wander through almost any store will find you something you can repurpose!
