OT: A smile

How well I remember that 'swine' flu ... I was lucky enough to get it too - was totally out of it for a week and a half and needed another two weeks of recuperation .... lost 15 lbs. too - and at that time I didn't really need to. Got my shot now and feel a little more protected.

So there should be no query for you, just do it lol

It wasn`t that my ARM hurt - in fact I barely felt it. It was just how rotten I felt all week afterwards - never felt even slightly OFF last year. I usually feel a bit fluey for a day or two. The bit that would hurt would be if I had to PAY for it! LOL!

I don't mind her sticking the needle in, that's the easy part, like you it's the swollen arm later on and the 'flu-like symptoms. We don't pay either.

I don`t mind needles - after all, having to stab my finger four times a day (at the moment), I`m used to it! In fact that hurts more than an injection!

Seniors (over 65) are not supposed to pay here in N.B. ..... unfortunately ..... or fortunately I should say ........ I had to pay $20. Dear David got a freebie. Last year when I took my Mother to her so-called doctor for her flu shot, he was going to charge her $20 ... I reminded him in a hurry what the law was here in N.B. - she was 90 then for the love of pete.

It won`t be full blown flu. My doctor says that the injection might not stop you getting it completely, but it won`t be half as bad as it would have been had you not done so! He`s been right so far - I`ve had mild(ish) flu a couple of times despite my flu jabs - and REALLY mild attacks just after a jab. Hope you`re soon feeling better, anyway. I had a bad week last week right after my jab. If you had FULL flu, you wouldn`t even be emailing!!!
