OT: cat-lovers

Just received this great link from my son - the newest arrivals at Howletts Wildlife/rare species park near Canterbury.

We love their sign at the entrance - that the park is for the convenience of the animals, not the visitors! Beautiful place.

What a wonderful sign! I don't have it posted in my house, but have been tempted to have a nice little counted cross stitch sign that says something along the lines of "The dog lives here. You do not." I do put Clara outside or in the bedroom when repairmen come, since some are truly afraid of dogs, having been bitten in other homes, and I don't want to risk anybody filing a false complaint about her. However, I love it when she barks when strangers appear at the front door, and invited guests simply have to recognize that Clara lives here. She doesn't get on furniture, doesn't get threatening, and leaves people alone once she has decided they are OK, and I will not isolate her just because some idiot thinks I should. One actually said "can't you get rid of her?", and that's is when I told him that Clara lives here. He has not returned and has not been invited, either. Years ago my father said that anybody who doesn't like dogs is no damned good, and I think he was right!
