OT:first day on the road

We left Halifax this a.m. 7 a.m. in pouring down rain - awful getting stuff in the car - and finally ran out of the rain in New Brunswick. We arrived in Riviere du Loup at 6 pm our time, 5pm Quebec time. Hot and sunny here, kids playing in the outdoor pool, beautiful view out over the Gulf of St Lawrence into the setting sun. Now for that glass of nice red wine my friend has poured for me lol

Isn't it fun have "invisible" friends, and follow their travels? I think this is why I so love this group. We can share our angst, and and enjoy each triumph. it is like a very loose-knit family!! In fact one can pour your heart out here, and have an honest answer, rather than the canned answers one received face-to-face!!

I hope Sheena and her buddy have a BLAST, and she keeps her foot off the accelerator!!

Hi Gillian,

If this weather keeps up Shenna, etal will be visiting me on my ark along with my animals. Come to think of it, with Shenna and I on board that will make for a *pair* of stitchers - now where in h..l did those darn unicorns scamper off to. Whoops - ended that with a proposition or preposition or whatever. LOL

We have been getting quite a bit of rain and as of yesterday the river that passes a half mile from our place is 10+ higher than normal and over it's banks in quite a few places. We have had a few more thunder storms last night with a few more to come before morning. However it beats shark attacks any old day!

Got to go look for my pumps just in case I need them.
