On this snowy day

I've got a decent book, some stitching and we're not going to hockey this AM.

Last night we got the snow you are getting today. And we are due to go today Toronto for a get-together. So, the DH is outside right now digging out the berm the snow plough left at the end of the driveway. And it has started to snow again!!! I'm not looking forward to the drive. Hwy 401 through the Trenton-Cobourg stretch is really treacherous.

The good thing is that the LNS (Needles and Knowledge - Brighton, Ont) is having an open house today to display the stock brought back from the Nashville show, so we will be stopping there on the way to TO and I should be able to get the new GAS colours.

We are staying overnight with friends so we won't have to drive home tonight - thank goodness.

I was supposed to meet friends at Webs in Northampton, but we cancelled because of the forcast and I slept in. Felt good. Woke up in the bed about 30 minutes ago, just me and Cash, who immediately demanded fusses once he knew I was awake.

I need to go over the papers DH is sending to the CPA and make sure everything is in order and package up the baby blanket I just finished knitting. Then I'm going to settle into my chair and work on "Witches Dance." I just go done frogging a large section, so I need to make that up and move forward. Time to get that done! Might got to a Tennessee Williams sampler at the college tonight.

It's raining here.

Lots of snow here. I have to get some baby things out for a friend of DH's (he'd do it but he's headed to a funeral tomorrow AM).

I have to go dig out old baby sized snow boots for Bobbie V's grandson. If there is time, I'll drop them off tomorrow. Tuesday at the worst.

Kaito is wearing size 7.5 or 8 in a shoe. Christopher has taken him sledding the other day. My Dad had a saucer sled in the garage loft. Today Kaito and I played with playdoh and he danced to the Limelighter's "Thorough Children's Eyes" CD twice. He even sings the "Help!! Help!!" part of the Ballad of Grace Darling. Not bad for a 22 month old. He is presently napping and Ayako has gotten some stitching done and I made some progress on the Noah's Ark I am stitching for my sister's soon to be here baby.

How can one little boy tire out 5 grown Adults!!!???

That's what I have on the front porch right now. About time we had some "average" temps, our weather has been fluctuating between low 30s overnight with low 50s during the day, to 60s overnight and high 70s, sometimes 80, durng the day. I never know how to dress in the morning until I have consulted the Weather Channel for the latest update.

Well, dear....I only wear jeans maybe 10 times a year. Mostly if we have to leave early for an event. Otherwise it is shorts each day. Eventually the temps are in the 60s, and that is good enough for me!

It cracks me up to see the snowbirds snuggle into their earmuffs, mittens, fleecy jackets etc, and it is NOT THAT cold! 60 degs plus is fine, and if you are a bit chilly, a light jacket warms one up.

We had 70 degrees - I ran in my shorts and tee today. Tomorrow, rain turning to snow overnight.

Of course, I've spent a lot of time at the pool this weekend, so I've hardly noticed lol!
