This is for people like Pat and Bruce who live in the UK. I find the situation very ironic. I gather the UK "summer" has not been that great this year. So here we are in the middle of August, when the weather ought to be warm and sunny, and there are a whole bunch of people camped out in the cold and wet outside Heathrow Airport protesting about global warming!!!!!
Not really strange - the Global warming (for want of a better term) is responsible for all kinds of weird weather. This is just one of the symptoms. Just look around the world (including America) to see how extreme the weather patterns are.
We haven`t had a "proper" winter for years - fifteen to twenty years ago we used to get snowed in regularly and I remember times when the sea froze.
