Thank you, thank you!

As I explained to the youngest in the family, "when you're a grown-up, you get to eat birthday cake for breakfast". :) So my day started on the right foot.

While I was clearing away last week's sale flyers, I noticed that the Michaels one had a 40% coupon good today, so I insisted we start our partying there. Didn't get anything of great consequence, just some little odds and ends.

Then we went in search of somewhere to eat. Small problem, many restaurants are closed on Mondays anyway, and this is a holiday as well. I finally thought of one in my neighborhood; he doesn't particularly like Japanese food, but at this point he's getting desperate. I ordered the combo meal (tonkatsu, yakitori and teriyaki chicken), so I have plenty for tomorrow.

Now I'm kicked back with my stitching and shortly will add a baseball game.

Hehehehe...

Not bad.

Didn't venture out for food, just ice cream. I love Japanese and Chinese..

Hope your team won! C

Happy birthday - a day late, and sounds like a good way to start!

Well- enjoy the leftovers - it'll be like Birthday Redux - and the left-over cake. Hope it was a happy.

I missed it! So let's make it a round, and I'll belatedly join in the second part!

Happy Birthday, Karen!

And I think you get to eat cake for b'fast for as long as the cake lasts, NOT just the birthday!

As I told the kid yesterday, I'm a grown-up, I get to eat cake any time I want to.

If I want to eat cake all day long, I can, and there's no one can tell me I can't. :)

And if the waistband of my jeans says No More, I can just buy new jeans. Pbbbbbbbt!

Yep. More cake today, more teriyaki today, more stitching today, and now more baseball today.

My primary client cleared her desk onto my desk before she left for the long weekend on Thursday. I cleared off my desk back onto her desk on Friday. So, the earliest I could possibly have more work coming in is tonight, and I'm enjoying the extra day off. :)

Spot on Pat! "Sir, a woman preaching is like a dog?s walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all."

IRTHDAAAAAAY TOOOOOOOOOOOO YOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I missed your birthday, Karen! I took a couple days off work to teach DD to sew clothes (HomeEc classes are *really* sad these days!) and it took me until now to catch up on my emails! sigh.

Sounds like you had a nice day, though.

Joan, finally back on the ng
