We once bought a "cat deterrent" in the form of pellets called "Silent Roar"; allegedly made from lion dung and guaranteed to frighten away all felines. Unfortunately nobody told next door's cat about this and she used to enjoy rolling in the stuff, especially after it had been raining!
2 cups cooked wild rice
2 tbsp butter or margarine
1 cup chopped onion
4 cups chicken broth
1 can (16oz) pumpkin
1/8 tsp white pepper
1 cup heavy cream chives or parsley for garnish
Cook wild rice according to package directions. milt butter in large saucepan. Add onion and cook until light brown. Stir in broth and pumpkin. Cook 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add wild rice and pepper; cook 10 minutes longer. Stir in cream; heat to boiling. Serve garnished with chives or parsley. Makes 8 servings.

That sounds like a great lunch with some good brown bread and a few toasted pepitas on top! I'm thinking of starting a lunch circle and that would be a good kick off meal.
