OT: Moral dilemma!

Even a well-trained swimmer can drown! Maybe you`d knock your head as you fell in! ;-))

If one is unusually hard-headed, it's not likely to have any effect.

Well You see mrs PP , unlike you i can`t bring myself to send you , or for that matter on any public NGs lists or such, any material , that i suspect might harm other people`s feelings. I would never send you, the jokes about Soldeirs in fighting , nore about people in wheelchairs . It is Ok if your grandson tells you or his friends some of those jokes , it is Not right for me to tell such things to you. This is My moral choice . As to my answer, it wasn`t evasive. I don`t believe in Being Clever After the deed. Your dillema , would have been rational , had i been older , knowing what i know now , and than put in the situation. Since i cannot do it, = Live 60 years before now with the knowledge i have now, I can not answer it. If you call this evading a sensible answer ? that is your problem , not mine. As you might recall i do historical research, I read what people thought at the time. It is so easy from my position now `to judge`, and say :Hey they took the wrong decision, [ not that they had much choice] ". I learned that one should not judge if one wasn`t in same position" , a Moral point of view which i think Started this debate in the first place. I told you that from a point of view of somebody who had to make a similar choice , this wasn`t funny. mirjam

Lucre tia!! Before delleting this letter i reread it....

I tottaly agree with you that every should laugh, [ and by the way i laugh daily at many things] Our only disagreement is about what we should laugh about. I find it Immoral to laugh about Human distress. Human stupid mistakes , a phenomena common to us all ,[not one group specificly], is ok to laugh about. Personal jokes, are good in personal circumstances. mirjam
