Yesterday we had a snowstorm is Wisconsin USA. An hour before dark we looked out at our clothesline in the backyard and a Huge Owl had landed there! He stayed for a few minutes and then flew away but soared up to our level first (we were on the second story) and then flew off. I think he was going to land on our porch railing and then saw us and thought better of it..
We live in a small city, but have a lot of old trees around us. We have heard owls on occasion but this was our first sighting.
