I understand it has been raining quite a bit in Australia after several years of drought. Has the rain made much of an impact yet on this drought? TIA

Certain parts of Australia have had lots of rain. Sydney dams, for example, are up to 67% capacity. Here in Brisbane, however, our dams are down to 17%, and we're on severe water restrictions. Now that we're in the middle of winter, there's not much chance of significant rain until later in the year. If the next wet season fails yet again we're going to be in real trouble.
