Moms can handle anything!

Why do you suppose that is? Is it the whole getting thru labor and still loving the little thing that caused the pain? Or is it the whole being able to do everything one-handed the first year or so of the little one's life?
Of course, we do all have ability to see thru walls to know when our children are up to no good, the ferociousity of lions when our children are endangered, the ability to juggle an entire household's (and sometimes job's) worth of responsibilities and still find time to talk to our kids about their day.
Given those abilities, we earn the right to figuratively smack our flock upside the head from time to time!
Cheryl, you want the job as mom to this bunch? More power to you! lol

Pssst! Mirjam's adopted ~
For a self proclaimed agnostic, mrs PP , your use of
Is rather curious ..
I don`t want your honey nore your sting ,,,,
Becoming one of you ? why on earth would i want to become one of you ? there are enough of you, i want to be me and don`t expect you to become me . How Patronizing or in your case Matronizing can you be ? The interest is in Human variaty , not in becoming Like others ... I thought that you as an independent Designer would appreciate the Uniqueness of each person. > I was obviously wrong! How long
Strange , i thought we all learned something, i am sure i did!! i am sure you did as well !!! The question is what one learned , and how one applies it to everyday life , Have a nice day mrs PP mirjam
Dear Aunty Mirjam, since you dislike us all so much - what the Hell are you still doing here? I`m an atheist, by the way - not an agnostic. Something else you`ve learned.
Pat P
Oh dear - and you can`t hand them back, can you?

Here in southern Saskatchewan, which Google probably thinks is a northern region, we have both quail and partridges, and they aren't the same birds. In Northern regions, they have Ptarmigan!! Dawne

This should make Lucille cringe--my DS is off to Hong Kong for a wedding in his wife's family. The last time he was there, Grandfather took him to the racetrack in Macao, and then out for dinner of the local delicacy---pigeon, served with the head, and its feathers, intact. He has forgotten most of the Beginner Cantonese he learned for that trip, but says he is going to specifically learn "No pigeon!!" for this one. Dawne

Pyech, Pooie, Yuck, Icky and anything else you could add to that brilliant remark.
Don't even think of taking that comment lightly. It is possible that I'm the all time biggest PITA when it comes to food. My mother threatened to kill me when I was a kid for not eating and to this day my friends laugh at my diet. Most of the time I'm happier with a ham and swiss sandwich than with a gourmet meal.
I actually cooked for my family and wouldn't eat what I cooked and ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead.
I guess you can imagine what I would have said if they served me a whole pigeon. %-)
Lucille
Dear Auntie Lucille,
I hope you would have said "here, Kitty Kitty"!
Love, Miss Kitty
They always serve poultry/fish with the head on. If you are the guest of honour, the head is facing you. Tell him he shouldn't try the 1000 year old eggs either, I love all Chinese food but I can't handle those lol
You sound like me Lucille. There I was while Sheena and John were tucking into mounds of whitebait - telling them that I can never eat anything that`s looking back at me!!!

This made me think of DH's deadpan remark a couple of months ago. He went out to collect the newspaper and stepped over a pile of feathers on the front stoop, courtesy of kitty...
So he just calmly returns to the house, hands me the paper, and reports "There's a do-it-yourself bird kit on the stoop."

I didn`t know one needs to be part of you to read this , i read the NG , but have the rigt to be myself , Not wanting to be part of you , doesn`t say i dislike you , it only says i want keep my individulaity I know that you are an Atheist , but you also have many Agnostic sayings . mirjam
Ptarmigans are hardy northern birds with feathered legs and feet. Plumage is molted three times a year, matching seasonal changes in habitat. Thus, birds are dark and mottled in summer, more finely mottled in early fall, and white in winter.
Grouse (some known as prairie chickens), a game bird, fall into the same family Phasianidae).
