OT! Time to lighten up rctn!

It seems there were two frogs sitting on a lily pad, when all of a sudden, a fly came along. One frog put out his tongue, ate the fly, and started laughing hysterically. Soon the other frog joined in the laughter.

Later in the day, the other frog ate a fly and the two frogs burst out in laughter. As time went on, the frogs enjoyed the flies so much that the sight of a fly would cause them to double up with pleasure (if it's possible for frogs to double up!). But of course, the most pleasure came when the fly was actually eaten.

A third frog hopped up to the first two and asked what was so funny. The first frog answered "Time." "Huh?" asked the third frog. The second frog explained:

"Time's fun when you're having flies."

Have to send this one to my Granddaughter who is the proud owner of two frogs - Blaze and Tucker ... and she's raising more from tadpoles on the back porch. My future veterinarian - sigh :-))

That was soooooooooo bad, I wish upon you an infestation of frogs. In fact, I will be pleased to send you the blue metallic ones who were hanging out in my house last week.

I wonder how many vineyards we can hit on this 5500 mile trip?? It would be totally impolite to pass them by. I wil also have to obtain a sample for you! Oh, I forgot, I can't bring it back. I will have to drink it!! Cheers, Sheena!! LOL

Our Maggie has recently discovered frogs. The previous one used to dash out whenever it rained to try to catch them, but we had thought that Maggie hadn`t thought of that. I think maybe the previous dogs have left her little messages on what Cavaliers are supposed to DO! Now Maggie has started dashing out and searching the bushes as soon as she hears the rain on the conservatory roof!

I have to rescue John from them if they get indoors - he can`t bear to touch them! Still, it`s only fair - he rescues me from large hairy spiders! What gives YOU the horrors?

Iceberg lettuce, celery, black widow spiders, and very large poisonous snakes.

Leeches, that's why I won't swim in a lake. Rivers are fine, but not lake water. Can't say it gives me horrors, just I don't give them the opportunity to latch on.

I used to have a tech from the pest control company that was afraid of snakes. I was walking with him when a tiny little garter snake went shooting by.

He must have jumped about 10 feet straight up.

Wonder what he'd have done if DD had walked up to him holding one!

Nah, little ones like that are no problem, saw one last weekend when I was weeding the beds in Maine. Maybe about 1 1/2 feet in length. He just slithered away. It the large 6 foot and bigger ones that I don't care for. Or the ones that have that cute little rattle on their tails.

I found one in our pond last year, and tried to get the little b***er to latch on, to see what it felt like. Would it co-operate? Would it heck! You`d have thought it would pleased to have found a volunteer!

I like PET rats (my daughter has one) but don`t like the wild ones.
