Tropical Storm Beta came into existence today. This one is expected to make hurricane in about 24 hours and hit Nicaragua (Cat 2) in 72-96 hours according to the current forecast. I'm still wondering what it does to the name list if one of these "Greek Alphabet" storms meets the criteria for name retirement.
