Websh*ts

Anyone have a websh*ts account for their photos?

I've had one for several years so that my cousin & I could exchange photos & with samples of scrapbook pages for others to see. My cousin went to upload photos today so I could get them, only to find you can't download them now into anything but their proprietary software (you can print, but can't do anything else with the file).

Am I missing something? Anyone else have experience with them lately?

You know I think I realized that about a month or so ago. I was wanting to print of a copy of project I seen and it wouldn't let me print it either. So I just had to save it in my webshots to go back and look at.

i have the webshots download and i like it. I have a satelite connection and it works fine. If you see a pic on someones webshot account you want click the magnfying glass with the cross in it below the pick to get a bigger picture and then you can save as is to your computer.

Every once in a while Webshots will reinvent themselves and then leaves us to scratch our heads.

In order to save a photo you have to click on the magnifing glass and then left click to save it.

That works. Thanks!

I didn't notice last night but on their main screen tonight there's an announcement that they've been bought by American Greetings. There's a survey you can take to let them know what you use the site for & what you like/don't like. I put my 2 cents worth in.

Guess I'll wait & see what AG does with the site before I delete everything. Hopefully they'll catch on that people like easy access to photos & to be able to use them as they want.

Haven't tried photobucket. Will have to take a look at it. I could swear I used to be able to right click "save as" on the full size photos in the past (it's been a few months since I tried). I know my cousin & I have shared photos that way before & I've been able to edit them. I've also done that with scrapbook pages that I like so I can scraplift later. Again, they've been jpg files, which I usually view with PhotoShop.

Thanks.
