Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe

I am hoping someone can help me. I have spent alot of time creating journal pages of my mom's recent visit using Art Explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe. This journal saves as a ".sjd" - now here is the problem. I dont want to print this on my own computer (there are 26 pages). How do I go about saving it in another format that Office Max or Office Depot computers can recognize so that I can take advantage of the low color print costs vs using up all my ink? I burned it to a CD and took it to several places and they cant open it and print it for me. I sure hope there is a simple fix that I am just totally missing here. Is there anyone out there who is familiar with this software that could help me with this? (cutting and pasting into word does not work) Thanks for your help! Suzin

Does it give you an option to export as a PDF? Those you could take just about anywhere to be printed. You'd think companies who make this type of software would realize that not everyone (me included) has a color printer attached to the computer they have the software on & would need a way to print it elsewhere. (Or maybe I'm being too logical again? )

Good luck, Sue!

Just found some reviews on Amazon with comments you may or may not find helpful.

If you're looking for a way to create a jpg to share online, someone managed to do that by exporting to HTML first (that might help someone from another thread who wanted to export to JPG from another program -- can't remember who right now).

If you find out how to save the pages as a jpeg, let me know. I have the program too and haven't been able to figure it out. Of course I haven't really spent that much time on it either....

Thank you all so much for your responses. I found the solution to my problem. I have been working with a very old "Version 1" which did not have the option to "save as a pdf". I only have a pdf "viewer" (not a "writer") on my computer ... something I plan on changing in the future. But - I went ahead and bought the "Version 3" which was well worth the money. (29.99 with a $15.00 rebate) This new version has tons more possibilities - PLUS it has a "save as pdf" option. Yahooooo!! It also comes with instructions on how to save as a jpg - I will summarize for those of you who were asking: You can save any selected object or even entire projects as separate graphics to use in other projects or in other programs. To save your project as a graphic just choose "Export As Image" from the FILE menu. To save an object as a graphic just right click on the object and choose "Export Selection As Image".

of the graphic. (BMP,JPG, or TIFF) Use JPG if the image will be used on the Web. Use TIFF if it will be used in another graphics program or another operating system and use BMP if it will be used in a Windows program. Now - these options are available in my new "Version 3" .... but I have uninstalled the Version 1 that I had so I dont know if this would work in the older versions. I am so glad that I went ahead and got the new version though because NOW I AM REALLY HAVING FUN!! I hope this helps your "jpg" questions - and thanks again for your feedback! Sue

Has anyone tried printing a JPG file as an 8x10? If the resolution is high enough on the images to begin with does it turn out okay?

Thanks DrHorton

It is not a problem at all if you have a high enough resolution. Snapfish.com is really good about telling you just how big you can print with any given resolution. I usually scan at about 300 dpi and don't have a problem. Prints on snapfish are also only $0.12 for 4x6.
