A Good Day

This morning I had my computer-tuter come and help me.

I had thought I had a virus, but I couldn't find it. Instead I seem to have acquired a critical mass of spyware in the last week. So I got Spybot and help using it to best advantage.

Then we fixed my printer. I kept following directions and getting no function. Of course when I went through the same procedure with him here, it worked! I don't understand why computers are allergic to me. With the printer fixed, after several months, I can once again print "business" cards, and I can print out descriptions for my jewelry. In other words, I can sell again.

Then I went for coffee with my martial arts buddy. We sit and drink coffee and bead and gab. Got some information I needed about DUI sentencing here (for a dumb friend).

And then went to my LBS. I'd been asking Joan to order LCT satin and Jonquil satin Swarovskis. And she had them! Last night I made a watch and was 3 crystals short. Arghhh. So today I was able to finish it. It has Bali style double spacers, Light Colorado Topaz satin, and Bali style caps on onyx. A little dressy really, but nice. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow. If it doesn't work I'd post it net week when computer-tuter comes to help me again.

A good day.

AH!!!!! you might want to consider adding AdWare. it seems to catch things Spybot misses, and Spybot catches things AdWare misses.

sounds like a wonderfully relaxing day, for the most part, Tina :)

Man, that spyware is a real problem. I couldn't believe it when I installed a spyhunter on my PC after only having it for two months, and it found almost 700 pieces of spyware!

I can hardly wait until I can switch back to a Mac. For various reasons. And please, no one need mention the "L" word... we already have one, thanks!

Even better, it was productive.

Computers are basically revenge machines for all the nerdy guys you wouldn't go out with in high school. What does LCT mean? I've been going to make an amethyst watch for ages, you've inspired me to do so today. Patti

Hi Patti,

LCT is Light Colorado Topaz. LBS also had gotten in Rose satin. It looks like a slightly shadowed rosy amethyst. You should take a look at it. All the satin beads are just superb with lampwork, especially boro. And with Bali, which also usually is shadowed/oxidized.

Tina

I don't know what I'm being punished for, then... those nerdy guys were my best friends, and eventually I married one. :)

I wanna know what LCT stands for too!
