've been stitching for 4 days now Amber

I am trying to scan one that I have done. It is from Claire Murray, ad Ibought it a a kit.

A friend, who is a quilter has done an "attic window"?? mount on the front. All I now have to do is the backing. If you would like to see it, I can work on a picture, with my inexperience with computers!

needs backstitching Amber

K everyone I need your help :-)

I've finished the backstitching, and tomorrow I will go with my mom in town to pick the materials for the pillow. I'm thinking that there where the edges meet there is a little raised edge, the same color as the backing, a dark red color. Now...

Question: Do I stitch an extra row of red along the sides of the design? If I do, it could look like two rows with the raised edge, if I don't the squares will look smaller.

What do you think? I'm going into town in about 12 hours so any answer asap is appreciated.

Thanks beforehand...

Well, I decided to leave it alone, and have a backing with a raised edge. It's kind of a mother-daughter bonding, to go out on the town also.

Today mom and I went into town and found the perfect pillow, it's dark red and 50 cm. The design will be stitched directly on top of it, trying to see if I should make one row two gold edges around it.

Well everyone today, May 1st, is the big day. My Aunt's 70th birthday, and she will get her pillow.

I finished it on April 16th (took roughly 2 months to stitch), and it was sewn on the pillow 4 days ago.

I will be posting a pic, and I've already started another small project, hehe

Wow - I don't know if you are very fast stitcher or just have lots of time to stitch or both. No matter what I envy you .

don't usually post pics of my backings, but this one turned outnice.

As always, you do a fantastic job. The back is worthy of the most finicky needlework judge (as in competition).

(blushing) awwww shucks thanks for the compliment :-)

I visited my aunt recently and got a really good pic of the pillow, here is the official pic:

's interesting is, my dad made something for her as well, and wewrapped our gifts in the same wrapping paper. He made a holder for herfire briquettes, and put two Danish coins on the top: one from 1938,one from 2008
