I wondered about this, as the original came out as Hebrew letters (I think!), and subsequent repeats came out as normal xs and symbols. That's on my pc, of course - can't speak for anyone else's.

MS comes with fonts for pretty well every language, I have the Chinese downloaded because many of my Chinese friends have characters in their email names, so it is worth my while to have that download. It's an option on MS.

The individual characters such as :-© - or a ª, are alt key codes in MS. You simply hold the alt key down and use the numbers pad, very useful for things you might use a lot like £ but which will not be there on a standard NA keyboard.

There are many things in MS that are not apparent unless you ask or know where to look ! I found the list of alt key codes when wanting to branch out from the ready to hand symbols like accents etc.

Absolutely. If you know the roots - at one time Bill Gates was with Apple - prior to splitting off. Hence the reason Windows came about as a "bulkier" emulation of the MAC OS.

For MACS - there is a ton of stuff in folder that most people don't go to - but it's there. You can then choose, as with the MS Office suite, what fonts are going to display in the dropdown menu. But, when something like a note in Hebrew shows up - the font should show correctly - even though in Word, for example, I don't have Hebrew in the default huge list.

I just converted to Agent 4.2 after using 3 for zonks, Agent showed me that it was Hebrew and offered the download and I declined. With MS there is always a window identifying what the font is as well.

I recently bought another lap top which has Vista on it, I did hesitate because there have been so many complaints, but mine is fine, though it does have SP1 on it, who would have thought with all the fan fare and beta testing it would have been needed so quickly !
