Ready for some S.E.X.--What's new out there?

Now that we are once again happily settled into our home (albeit, lots of boxes are still awaiting my attention) I'm SO ready for a good day of S.E.X.!

I literally did not pay a bit of attention to the results of the January show, nor have I been near a shop since before the fire.

I like samplers (especially those from Long Dog Samplers and Quaker Samplers), Fantasy type stuff like Teresa Wentzler, Dragon Dreams and some of the less stuffy Mirabilias (the Queens are too snotty and high-falluting for my walls LOL).

Anybody seen anything lately that I might want to watch for?

TIA,

Caryn

Try the BritStitch site - lots of good stuff and GREAT SERVICE.

I wander the Hoffmans and Norden sites for their updates every so often.

How about the Birds of a Feather French ladies series? The autumn one came out recently, so the series is now complete. Here's a link to spring, winter and summer:

Those are really interesting!

I'll keep an eye out for them, see if I like them in person...so to speak!

I saw a group of samplers in the on-line needlework show based on the works of Jane Austen--and now I can't remember the company that did them. They were potentially an interesting set. Dawne

I was browsing new stuff on Wyndham Needleworks website yesterday (great service! no affiliation). And I found these two lovelies:

I like most of the samplers by this designer:

if I weren't moving so very soon, I think a few of these chartswould be winging their ways toward me at this very moment. LOL. With best regards,

Was it a company called "Sampler Girl," or something like that? For some reason or other that name seems to stick in my mind. I think she did a series of President's Wives as well ????

The Wyndham site is a dangerous place isn't it? Nice ladies, good service, but far too many temptations!

Thanks for that link, those designs are all beautiful. Just the sort of thing that might follow me home soon!

The Jane Austen Sampler, which I think is the first in a series, is from The Sampler Girl. This link to ABC Stitch shows one called Mansfield House, down toward the bottom of the page.

was annoying me that I couldn't be sure where I saw it, so I did a little searching.

Nice samplers - but the picture of the silver one was TERRIBLE!

Love the design - not sure about the colour, though.

Here is the link to the Sampler Girl's Jane Austen samplers, which are very nice indeed. The Northanger Abbey one I especially like. American friends should check out her First Lady series--these are very well thought out.

It's interesting in it's simplicity! (seems like an oxymoron)

Wonder if oldest dd would be interested, she who likes the TW Celestial Dragon.
