You run the wire loop end of the DoLolly under the back of existing stitches. Next you put the hook end through the loop and use it to pull your short fiber tail(s) back through the loop. Finally, you pull the loop (carrying the thread tails) back under the stitch backs, burying the loose thread tails underneath the stitch backs. Personally, I hardly ever use the hook end -- I just use my fingernails to push or pull the loose thread tails through the loop end. CiaoMeow >^;;^<

I have several "fiber hiders". My first is an original DoLolly made by the original company. The next one I bought has kitties on the ends of the two pieces -- made of lovely bone of some sort. The third also has kitties on the ends - not sure what they are made of -- LOL! The problem is that none of them are near at hand when I need a DoLolly so I usually end up using a length of thread and a blunt needle. You fold the thread in half and put the cut ends through the needle eye -- make sure that the loop end is longer than the cut ends. Run the threaded needle underneath the back of existing stitches, *STARTING** at a point near the loose fibers to be hidden. Put the loose fiber ends through the loop of the thread that is through the needle. Now carefully pull the needle -- thread loop holding the fiber ends -- through the existing stitch backs and VOILA', your fiber ends are hidden. It's just easier than getting my fat Irish behind up and out of my chair and digging through my needlework bag to find one of my fiber hiders :-))). CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Thanks : ) I think I may have to try and find one. On a totally different topic I won TWO sewing cabinets off ebay yesterday. One is a Martha Washington cabinet and the other is a Caswell Runyon cabinet they are sooo cool my husband will never get mad about my stash being all over again (well until it outgrows the cabinets anyway).

My understanding is that they are no longer in production, although there is a similar (less expensive, and therefore presumably not as classy looking) product on the market; the blog with the picture has more information I believe.
