Oh my goodness. I think she needs to work on her production to get prices down and they'll take off.

Is the price $5 for one needle or for a pack?

Very expensive but provided you don't lose it in the couch cushions the stainless steel would last for a long, long time and probably never break.

I have not tried these, and certainly will NOT at those prices! (I probably have enough very fine needles on hand anyway to open a stitchery school.) I do wonder, though, how they will work with quilting when I stack up 8 or 10 stitches on a needle. I also wonder whether there will be an issue with anything "catching". Please, folks, if you do happen to get some and try them out, please let everybody know!

Well, if it's just one, but is stainless and not nickel plated - they may last quite a while. I'd really have to feel one, and might be worried about the eye grabbing on the stitching ground before buying. But, who knows.
