Well, I finally just "plunged" in and dropped those Christmas stockings into a bath of cold water and Orvus. The water immediately turned a nasty yellow color and I swished them a few times, drained rinsed and started over. And again. At this point, I did add a little bit of Clorox2 to the go round - don't know if it helped or not, but it didn't harm anything either.
While the yellowing it still there, it is greatly diminished and I'm wondering if a second or third go round is in order.
I've very happy these look better now - they have a lot of sentimental meaning to me.
