Stuffing Kissing Pillows.

I spent Saturday afternoon stuffing "Kissing Pillows". For anyone who does not know what these are, they are for Canadian troops serving in Afghanistan, and other oversees postings. They are about 4 inches square. The front has an embroidered (cross stitch) heart in red, with little red maple leaves inside. Then, in any different color, are the words "I Love You", or "Je T'Aime". The idea is that, particularly a parent, kisses the pillow before they leave, and then any children, or other loved one, can keep the kissing pillow as a remembrance. Different colors for different children. The obvious place to keep them is on their bed, so that they can have the pillow when they go to sleep. I think it is a lovely idea.

Nice idea , This cushions . When we make things for soldiers it is usually warm knitted hats and scarves. Of course our soldiers are closer to home as they deffend our borders, and one can travel all Israel`s length in one day . On some weekends parents pack food , clean socks , underwear and uniforms, and travel to their soldier son or daughter`s, place to sit and have a meal with them. They collect the dirty wash, to take home. May all young people who deffend others while endangering themselves , come home in safety. When i enlisted i said that surely my children won`t have to do it , They had to . May there soon be Peace all around the world . mirjam

How nice. I'm going to check around and see if anyone here is doing something like that for our soldiers.

Lovely idea. I should see if our Guild could do some, since we are quite close to Trenton and the airbase.
