Anne should see these - she could embellish them like her Lula Chang pieces!

GMTA!!!

I've got several panels that looked promising; one or two are a bit too cartoony even for me. Next week, I have vowed to do an el cheapo Bucilla ribbon kit as practise so I'll do a better job with the good stuff that has been laying unused for almost a year.

Yay! The Virginia Quilter is in Fredericksburg. Now I have another reason to try to convince DS to go to school at the University of Mary Washington.

The other reason is Everything Cross Stitch, a cute little shop crammed with lovely stuff.

We've been talking about this for a few months, but not motivated. I suspect we'll get to it eventually.

In the meantime - must go get dressed as we're off to another wondrous CAPS game - vs TAMPA . What fun. Tee hee.

Funny kind of we feel bad in a light way thing - the other night after the Toronto game - unbelievably the baby CAPS won - the little club/bar downstairs was packed. Lots of players have Toronto family in. We've become a bit friendly over the season with a really nice D man, John Erskine (came from Isles & Dallas) , and his gorgeous, sweet "just a nice girl from Toronto" wife, and their 6 month old baby. John had been out on injury for a bit (broken foot), got back in, plays well, broken hand/thumb from game on road prior week. He's a big guy, DH calls him the "gentle giant" . So, we're talking with him, his brother/friends down from TO, the wife, etc. There's a charity auction sponsored by the "wives" post game today at 6 - $100/head just to walk in the door. We're not going because we're swamped getting the house cleaned up for the builders to be in tomorrow, and $$ are tighter than normal - even with a tax write-off. So as they're getting ready to leave - our pal the player looks at us and shyly asks "are you guys going to the wive's thing Sunday night??? Please ???" We said, sorry, but no -we really can't. DH said the poor guy looked like a kid who lost his lollipop. I think he's basically kind of shy, very soft spoken (big, tough, d-man), guy =so cute with the little baby - DH refers as "gentle giant" . And the thought of doing a whole event where you really have to deal with spending time with lots of people you don't know, etc... At least we're kind of safe . Kind of funny - our "normal" friends don't look so sad when we can't do something - but I think we would've been a safe haven - people who are fans that are friends . But, well. We have to be good. Always nice to the fans, but I think one of those people it's a little hard for, and especailly as he's a tough guy with skill, on ice - the guys expect something different when they come talk to him.

If you can wait until May, you can with my sister and I. That's what we'll be doing. Talking, antiquing, talking, eating, talking...all over NH and southern ME. I think you get the picture.
