to all of you who wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday (both here, e-cards and on Facebook). It seems to me birthdays are coming far too frequently these days, but obviously better than not at all ! LOL
I could hear Joan's voice all the way down here in Florida! Yup, Cheryl called me just at the moment our server brought the free appetizer (shrimp on the barbie), courtesy of a Ford Dealer, from whom I bought the old green pick-up, around 10 or 11 years back. Each year he sends me a card, with a gift card for a "bloomin' Onion", and which Outback will give you any appetizer you want.
Now, I just have to put apps into my new IPod Touch (yup, Jim is STILL trying to make a geek of me).
Just got a phonecall from Aya; she and Mike will be down here after lunch, and will stay overnight . She had to go to Orlando to renew her Japanese passport. The Consulate were setting up a temporary office in a hotel there today, so folk from north Florida didn't have to drive all the way to Miami.
