Would You consider a RCS Meet Here?

Time to dream a little! We talk about this a lot, but haven't even started to actually plan something!

Easy to get to and lots of fun. Everything we need to be very comfortable for 7 days... There are 7 bedrooms! A spa a pool, a pool table and much more...

Right now there is one week left in February and 2 weeks left in March. But each of 12 of us could get their own bed. I would just have to come up with different rates for the people who get a master and those that share a room with bunk beds! In addition, Orlando is a cheap place to fly to during the tourist season.

4 people at $25 (4 bunk beds) 2 people at $40 (2 twin beds) 1 person at $45 (Queen smaller master) 3 people at $50 (King smaller masters) 2 people at $55 (King large masters) M-C plus whomever wants the other one!

Take a look and tell me what you think? Is this something you'd like to do!

I am sure that we would have to pay something if not all of it up front. I've done this before when my brother came down to visit so that he and his family could spend a few days at Disney World and Sea World. There are about 365 homes listed just in this area for rental, so I'll be doing more homework. We can have lots more than 11 or 12 people, since we can find other homes, even in this same complex I am sure. This is a much cheaper way to holiday in Orlando than hotels. And our cooking recipe divas can really share their recipes in the large fully equiped kitchen! However with the shuttle service, free LD etc, this particular house seems great for a group of moms on the go!

sounds like fun but I'd have to bribe Larry with a couple days at Disney...

Oh, it would be so neat to do this. Funds just are possible right now. Still doing the new business thing. Getting by just not much extra. I am going to try and save to go or Orlando actually. At the end of February. A friend is going. So I am going to try and be a very good girl and not shop and save every bit.

when are you thinking of doing this?

They both look nice but a bit out of my league I'm afraid.. I was sorta thinking a weekend is bit better for me, I wouldn't leave my girls for a whole week and my dh couldn't take the time off to take care of them. A get together is a great idea but if it's for a week I'll have to pass. Sounds great though, I'm sure all who go would have a blast!!! Barb:o)

Well how about for a long weekend... we'd have to see when these places were available... still thinking Feb or March as it makes a great break from winter.

I wanna go!!! I think it's a great idea. And, I have the $$$ problems others have. Who knows, maybe I'll have my well paying dream job soon though. :)

Thanks for the research!

M-C, That sounds wonderful. I am sure I could talk my DD to drive up and do this with me! We could map out all the LSS's there and go on shopping trips plus there are so many things to do in that area! ohmygoodness! I think this is definately something to start planning!

I think a long weekend would be better and probably more afforadable for everyone. Feb and March in Fla are both good months.

I like the weekend idea but it would still depend on cost as I'll have airfair, accomidation, meals and spending-yikes I need to win the lottery!!! Barb:o)

Yeah I wouldn't be able to go for a week either. No one to watch the girls and DH couldn't take the time off either.

If it was for a weekend, I might be able to go.

An RCS meet sounds awesome! It would be easier for me to do a weekend, due to kiddos, but if a week is better for the majority, I could probably find something for the kids after school. I would definately have to use part of our tax refund for the trip, though. LOL

Count me in, I am all about being there. I may have to convince my parents or DH to babysit for a couple of days though.

I agree that a week is a bit long and costly. I'm going to be in Orlando in October for a day before catching the boat. I'm taking a Disney cruise w/ my mom. Why does it have to be FL? The last getaway was there and I know that they had one in CA once too. I still think something more centrally located would be better, and not because I am. It would mean shorter flying distances and even an easier time for some to drive and maybe carpool. Just my 2 cents.
