RCS MEET - URGENT PLS READ

Please people, go and vote. So far 10 of us have cast our votes. Because of what you can read below, I think we should close the vote ASAP. For that reason I will be closing the vote on Tuesday or as soon as I have 14 votes or any of the 3 locations gets 8 votes. Why 14 or 8? In the last poll only

14 people who voted on a scrappers dream said they would be attending. Therefore, once we reach that number or any location gets 8 votes, we can safely say that we have our answer. For those of you who voted by email, please take the time to send me your votes again to itsmcsemail-rcs AT yahoo DOT com as soon as possible.

Should the Barn win, we really have to move fast! Last week when I looked, the 2006 calendar was virtually empty. This week it is filling up quickly especially for the earlier part of the year. If you've picked this destination, I am sure that you took the time to read all about it and you know that they have a special for individuals registering before the 15th of September. We would have a special as a group, but at this rate we may not have a weekend that we can live with, where there are enough spaces left. I don't know if this will be our destination, but you do need to know that to secure it, if we go, each person will need to make their own reservation, against a special code number that they will send me and that I will give to you, so that we get our discount. You will have to cough up a $75 deposit when you register and I am sure that they will expect that deposit within a short time frame.

Based on everything I've read here on group and everything I've read in various emails,

I'd like to propose the weekend of April 28,29,30th

no matter where we go as it fits squarely in the time frame that I've heard about. It's after we get our tax returns, after Easter, before Mother's Day, and before many of us have to get ready for peak wedding season or moves. I am worried however that this date might be unavailable at the Barn before we can even get to it, so I hope to be able to call the Geneva Dairy Barn and see if I can place a temporary hold on it if I get your support. I don't know what they will want to hold the date, hopefully not my first born!

If they need the money now I'm afraid I'll have to say no I can't come... in fact I guess I should just say that anyway - we are flat stony broke and that's not going to change Christmas time when John gets taken on as a permanent employee instead of a temp, and gets a raise... I very much doubt we'll be able to come up with any spare funds :(

Please do go vote anyhow. You never know what might happen between now and next April. I will get the information as to what they need by when to keep our space just as soon as we know that we are going there.

Will attempt to vote AGAIN, last three times, I could not connect to it, but we've been emailing anyhow so I think you know A> I'm going anywhere and B>I have a clear first choice destination. The dates sound great for me.

That proves we have a lot of lurkers! They all want to go too. LOL

M-C, that weekend is doable for me. I'm usually taking a vacation around then to do yard work anyway. Hopefully you can get them to hold for a few days. It doesn't look like they'd have any trouble booking it if we became unavailable. My fingers are crossed. I'll e-mail you w/ my choice since for some reason yahoo isn't taking my password right now. It just does that now and again, and of course when I want to use it it jacks up.
