Another Buckeye! I'm a Buckey too (by birth.. and by alma mater).

How I ended up 20 minutes from Ann Arbor... long story! LOL

Go Bucks!

Any pictures of that quilt? Bet it's really something!

Love those band geeks! My son proudly describes himself as one. He's in grad school at James Madison University in Virginia and he was STILL in the band last fall! I've made yearly quillows to be raffled off at the Kappa Kappa Psi (honorary band fraternity, for those that don't know) and Tau Beta Sigma (sorority) convention. Always on the lookout for music fabric!

DD still calls herself one....and her students. She turned from a junior high band geek, high school geek, drum corps geek, college marching band and percussion major geek into a high school band director! Seems like it only took a few weeks....but it's been years.....where did the time go? She is taking her kids to a regional jazz band contest today....band geeks unite!! I have a collection of music fabric that will take me years to use...who am I kidding? I'll never use it all.

Iris: JMU is a great school. It is also convenient to the Green Valley Book Fair, off I81, between Staunton and Harrisburg. If you visit your son, you may want to got to GVBF. It is a HUGE warehouse type book seller operation. I've gotten some wonderful books of all varieties at excellent prices, including several quilting books of course! Google for location and times.
