Yeah. Too many kids have too much grief because of Substances these days. I can't believe how prevalent it is, even in our sleepy little neck of the woods!
ROTFLMAO!!! Does your DS wear undies, pray tell? Or socks, perhaps? LOLOLOLOLOLOL! I can see that teenagers on both sides of the Specific Ocean have similarities undreamed-of by their parents! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!
WE DID!!! DD's troop is still buzzing with the awful news - all the girls phoned each other and said 'Did you see that thing on the news?' I think there are going to be memorial ceremonies at many of the local troops this week. We have some pretty hairy electrical storms over our way, but *nothing* like a tornado and *nothing* that would wreak such awful destruction! It's hard to conceive of going out on a normal Scout camp and not coming back. Those poor families and communities!
DS loves Doctor Who, but DD managed to slip between sessions and has never quite 'gotten' him. She's a Monty Python fan, as are most of her friends. Have you ever noticed the infuriating habit of all Monty Python devotees of perpetually quoting great slabs of text from this or that sketch and then bending double with laughter for fully ten minutes before you can hold an intelligent conversation with them? I thought it was bad when DH showed these tendencies, but now with DD infected as well, there's no escaping Monty Bl**dy Python! She had a group of friends over a while ago and I heard fully five different versions of the Parrot Sketch, willy nilly. And they do it without even drawing breath!
Not only that, but DD will insist on calling me 'Incontinentia Buttockth' and DH 'Biggeth D*cketh'! =:-O
