What do we want for Christmas

I didn't realized I had forgotten to mention that insurance company is looking for somewhere for us to live the next few months. We looked at a condo today, owner just had the sale of it fall thru and was happy to have some income coming from it until he can sell it.

It looks like a nice enough place, enough bedrooms, nice enough neighborhood. Just a matter of arranging for the kids to get to school in the mornings as it is outside the bus routes for their schools.

So glad that you`ve found something more like "home" Caryn. Now you can look forward to Christmas, and then to the time you`ll move back into the newly refurbished REAL home. It might all turn out to be a blessing in disguise (and no, my second name is NOT "Pollyanna!!!")

It must be really tough with young kids and a new job with all the extra stress engendered with that alone. Well done for keeping all the balls in the air.

Check with your school district. Your children may be considered homeless and if so, they qualify for busing to their home school under the law. email my privately if you need more info-I do school transportation. I'm not sure what state you're in but I know there are federal rules that govern this.

Dude talked to someone in the school's transportation department yesterday. The kids are homeless, and will be bused to their current schools. We are waiting to hear the details, but it's a relief to know we aren't going to have to miss work to get them to and from.

Make sure you claim enough on your insurance to cover the materials AND at least part of your time in the estimated value.
