Hi, Anyone know a place near ohio where I can get Black Mount. Clay?

is there another laguna franchise out that way? otherwise ship? (that's no fun).

it's a common clay around southern california. i buy it from aardvark in santa ana. possibly you can get it blended at your local place, and they can call aardvark for the blend details.

I use casious clay. It is brown while you're throwing and after the bisque but when you glaze fire to cone 4 it comes out black. I use it to make pots (burnished and unglazed) that resembles old Native American pots. It is aardvark brand. Steve, are we talking about the same clay? Mine is pretty rough on my hands when throwing. Sandi

not the same stuff. black mountain is a very smooth buttery clay feeling like it might even have lanolin in it somewhere. it fires to a dark chocolate brown.
